LiShinault
LiShinault (Lisa Shinault) creates story-like works of grace and somber beauty. She primarily paints small to large-scale works across a variety of media that includes mostly feminine figures and animals. While ‘in process,’ her paintings are often selectively cut apart, then sewn or glued together to form new juxtapositions, thus allowing more freedom and endless excitement for her in the studio. Her media include oil on canvas with large stitches, reverse glass painting with collage, and fired ceramic tile.
LiShinault has a BFA with honors from Savannah College of Art and Design (Savannah, GA). Her work has been included in several galleries and collections, mainly in Atlanta, GA. You can see more of her work at www.lishinault.com.
