Jennifer Raggi was born in Louisiana, and lived in London her first several years of life. She spent many years in Nashville, graduating from Vanderbilt University, and launched a career in psychology and later psychiatric pharmaceuticals. After starting a family, she moved to Atlanta in 2006.
Her early artistic expression was primarily through ballet and photography. She began to paint in 2009. The expression of color is her focus, whether in portraits, landscapes, botanicals, or animals. She became fascinated with horses when her youngest child began riding and has used them as subject matter for many of her paintings. Acrylic and oils on canvas, plexiglass, and wood are her chosen media.
